The QuestUP system (Cirrus Assessment) was implemented in January 2022 to replace the previous system used for computer-based testing (CBT). This system allows lecturers more autonomy to set and manage their own online assessments.

Training 

The Department for Education Innovation will provide in-person (contact) training in the use of QuestUP.

Registration for the training is available via the PeopleSoft Human Resources portlet.

 

The training is presented in two half-day sessions:

The first day (2022Q1) is dedicated to:


• creating question collections,
• marking the essay questions,
• coordinating the marking process, and
• access to the QuestUP environment.


The second day (2022Q2) focuses on:


• creating an assessment from your collections
• scheduling students for an assessment
• the invigilation functions while students are writing an assessment, and
• interpreting the reports available to enhance your questions.

 

Training dates:

· 16 and 17  January 2025 (Prinshof Campus) 11:00 – 16:00

 

· 19 and 20 March 2025 (Hatfield Campus) 08:30 – 13:30

 

· 3 and 4 June 2025 (Onderstepoort Campus) 11:00 – 16:00

 

· 2 and 3 September 2025 (Hatfield Campus) 08:30 – 13:30
